Internships

As the oldest independent literary magazine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we welcome college students, retirees, and others who are familiar with and interested in literature to become Interns for tnr. Those not familiar with tnr are encouraged to purchase a back issue at $5.50.

QUALIFICATIONS: Love of literature and culture, detail oriented, computer literate (Microsoft Word), and ability to type 50 wpm.

DUTIES: Reading and reporting on manuscripts, typing letters, working on mailings, researching on the web, and, possibly, promoting or marketing tasks.

HOURS: 10 – 12 hours per week or every other week

COMPENSATION: All Internships are voluntary. We do give Interns credit on the Masthead and complimentary copies of the issue they worked on.

Resume and cover letter are due no later than one month prior to desired internship period. A personal interview is also required.

LOCATION: Interns work primarily at the home of the Editor-in-Chief. This location is not wheelchair accessible.
